Abstract

The article focuses on the British military attack on the Jewish establishment in Palestine. According to the author, when he was in Palestine, panic was plainly observable in British reactions. Official alarm seemed out of proportion even then to the isolated acts of violence committees by Jewish extremists. The British in Palestine behaved as if they went in deadly fear of the Jews. Their composite attitude seemed to be that they wanted to put an end to Jewish resistance at all cost and if possible prevent any new immigration.
