Abstract

The Makmal gold deposit is located in the Republic of Kyrgyzstan. As a result of mining operations, under the bottom of the quarry, an open worked out space was formed with access to the surface above each chamber and overhanging rock consoles. This mining situation at the field caused the danger of sudden collapses of rock consoles and the walls of the chambers of the separating pillar. In this article, in order to justify the method of filling the voids and choosing the technology for the extraction of the pillars, numerical modeling of the stress-strain state and stability of the rock massif in the existing mining and technical situation by the finite element meth-od is performed. A three-dimensional elastic model is considered, where several types of enclosing rocks and an ore body were identified, according to lithology. Changes in the straineddeformed state of the rock massif in the current design indicate a significant increase in stresses as compared with the gravity model of the geomedium. In accordance with the geomechanical assessment of the existing mining and technical situation at the Makmal field, it is recommended to apply a system of floor collapse under a dry laying with the breaking of ore in a clamp for the development of reserves, including the extraction of the separation pillar.
