This notification to Germany as well as to the Soviet Union is a net gain no matter what motive inspired the Pravda story. The article further says that the Soviet Union and Poland have a joint interest in checking once and for all Germany's aggressive urge to expand eastward. Both countries need a prolonged period of peace to recover from their wounds and to carry out the colossal tasks of reconstruction.
