Abstract

In this article, the goal is to deacidify silica gels containing a large amount of hydrochloric acid necessary for the synthesis of mixed gels. A washing step is added to the gel preparation protocol, in order to remove a certain amount of acid and also to improve the drying, promoting non-cracked bulk gels. The results are promising, which allows to transpose this process to the elaboration of mixed gels. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
