Abstract: The article focuses on various discussion related to education in Great Britain's House of Lords. For mathematics teaching, Baroness Sharp of Guildford asked the government about plans to implement the recommendations of the Smith Report on the teaching of mathematics. For vocational education Baroness Brigstocke asked the government about steps taken to improve vocational education in schools. For Higher Education Bill, the order in which clauses will be taken in committee was agreed on April 22, 2004.
