Abstract
- The article presents a case study of a 70-year-old Japanese man who developed subcutaneous abscesses in the periumbilical region within 2 weeks after a laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Treatments with antibiotics, such as cefamezin and vancomycin and immunosuppressive agents, such as prednisolone and azathioprine for 1 year, were un successful. Information on the methods used in the study and results is provided.
