Abstract

To evaluate the impact of expected macrosomia (estimated fetal weight>4000 g) on mode of delivery and obstetric outcomes. Multinomial logistic regression provided adjusted ORs for mode of delivery with EFW and ABW>4kg, while controlling for possible confounders. Expected macrosomia (EFW>4kg) significantly increased risk for urgent (OR 1.8) or elective (OR 5.4) Caesarean delivery (CD). [Extracted from the article]
