Abstract
- The article explores the history of a Romanesque wooden crucifix found in the Norman church of Saint-Marcel in Eure, France. The author provides an analysis and attribution of the crucifix and a possible historical nexus that would justify the relationship between the crucifix and a group of carvings conserved in Normandy. She argues that Rotrou de Beaumont, bishop of Evreux, probably saw the resemblance of the crucifix with the Courajod Christ in the Louvre.
