Abstract
- The article discusses how thermal instability properties of the powder can help in ensuring safety from fires and explosions in drying operations. Topics discussed include ways in which self-heating of powders due to exothermic reaction can result in smoldering; ways in which thermal insulator, preventing cooling and promoting the generation and buildup of heat energy; and importance of understanding of the thermal instability properties of the powder.
