Abstract
- The article discusses U.S. urologists' growing professional engagement of nurse practitioners and physician assistants called advanced practice providers (APP) as of September 2018. Topics covered include APPs' use in simple office procedure billing, in such independent performing procedures as bladder installation, emergency intracavernosal injections, and urodynamics interpretation, and in improving patient access. Also noted are ways to optimize relationships with APPs.
