Abstract

A prospective, observational study which assessed the medical time spent by intensivists outside the intensive care unit (ICU) and its workload, is presented. Topics covered include time spent by ICU physicians in for the care of patients in other departments and for the management of patients during an intra-hospital transport (IHT) and how the medical time of ICU physicians outside the ICU was organized and distributed.
