Abstract

The international politics is dominated by the tensions between the rich, pale peoples of the North and the poor, dark Southerners. In South Africa, land of unashamed white supremacy, lies the principal irritant and focus of this tension. But in South Africa, white supremacy is being increasingly challenged, and an open clash, which could become the greatest issue of the sixties, approaches. The prelude to the clash will probably be, played in the dry, 318,000 square-mile mandated territory of South West Africa. And for this prelude there already exists an approximate timetable, allowing the rare privilege of a reasonably accurate historical long-range forecast.
