Cnoidal and gausson phenomena in nonlinear elastodynamics.

A nonlinear elastodynamic system is investigated which is descriptive of transverse wave propagation in an isotropic, incompressible, hyperelastic material subject to body forces associated with a nonlinear substrate potential.
