Error Behavior of the Nyström Method With Singularity Subtraction Applied To a Singular Fredholm Integral Equation of the Second Kind.

This paper describes one method for a numerical solution of a Fredholm integral equation of the second kind. The kernel function has a special type of singularity called the diagonal one. The main result of this paper is the error estimation of the numerical solution based on the Nystr¨om method with singularity subtraction. The error estimate is compared to numerical examples.
