Abstract
- For the case of perfectly conducting (PC) antennas, the difficulties inherent in the process of discretizing, certain thin-wire integral equations were examined in detail in the literature by means of an analytical study of the antenna of infinite length. This paper extends the previous results to corresponding integral equations applicable to carbon nanotube antennas. Connections between the finite and infinite cases are discussed in detail. While there are many similarities with the PC case, we show that there exist new difficulties, with no counterpart for the PC antennas. We discuss their nature through both the analytical and numerical results. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
