Abstract

The article offers suggestions for building a diagnostic repair process for repair of automobile damage sustained in collision. Topics discussed include the complexity of the safety systems technology in modern automobiles; the need to perform a diagnostic post-scan to be certain of the repair; and the recommendation by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) for it. Also mentioned is the disassembly for repair (DFR) process to identify damages.
