Abstract

The article reports telomere length (TL) dynamics over time and its predictive value in 90 chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) patients with a longer follow-up. The two time-points under which TL was assessed include telomere loss over time which was calculated in terms of absolute loss and another that was performed on peripheral blood mononuclear cells. It was discovered that progressive telomere erosion occurs during the natural history of CLL.
