Abstract
- The article reports on the beginning of Algerian and Vietnamese communism in parallel. Topics discussed include the relationships that the Comintern and the French Communist Party forged with the first Algerian and Vietnamese communists in the interwar period; why communism had an early success in Indochina with almost no external help; and why it failed in Algeria.
