Abstract
- The elastic α-<superscript>12</superscript>C scattering at low energies is studied in the cluster effective field theory, in which the ground states of α and <superscript>12</superscript>C are treated as elementary-like fields. We first discuss a construction of an effective field theory for radiative α capture reaction on <superscript>12</superscript>C at the Gamow energy, T<subscript>G</subscript> = 0.3 MeV, in the stars and fix some parameters appearing in the theory from the phase shift data of the elastic α-<superscript>12</superscript>C scattering. We then discuss the uncertainties of the present approach when interpolating the scattering amplitudes to T<subscript>G</subscript>. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
