Elastic α-12C scattering at Low Energies in the Cluster Effective Field Theory.

The elastic α-¹²C scattering at low energies is studied in the cluster effective field theory, in which the ground states of α and ¹²C are treated as elementary-like fields. We first discuss a construction of an effective field theory for radiative α capture reaction on ¹²C at the Gamow energy, T_G = 0.3 MeV, in the stars and fix some parameters appearing in the theory from the phase shift data of the elastic α-¹²C scattering. We then discuss the uncertainties of the present approach when interpolating the scattering amplitudes to T_G. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
