Abstract

The article discusses the U.S. Supreme Court case Patchak v. Zinke wherein landowner David Patchak filed suit challenging the authority of the secretary of the Interior Department to take into trust a property (Bradley Property) on which Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Pottawatomi Indians wished to build a casino. It reports that the Court examined the the Gun Lake Trust Land Reaffirmation Act (Gun Lake Act) in the issue. The court as its decision dismissed the claims of Patchak.
