Abstract

The article discusses the use of public relations in building a healthy corporate image. At the risk of being painfully obvious, TV is a visual medium. Arcane diagrams and flapping gums don't drive stories. Moving pictures do. TV coverage for a company can have huge impact. As with other news media, TV needs material. To get it interested, a company needs to consider where best it will fit. That means researching station personas and coverage. Some stations cover entertainment and lifestyle items more readily than others. Some are focused on hard news.
