How Do Demographic Trends Change? The Onset of Birth Masculinization in Albania, Georgia, and Vietnam 1990–2005.

The article examines the changes in demographic trends in Albania, Georgia, and Vietnam from 1990 to 2005, highlighting the onset of birth masculinization. Topics include the changes in sex ratio at birth (SRB), the factors that affect SRB, and the rise in SRB as a response to structural factor changes including normative fertility, abortion, and gender bias. Also discussed are the increase in sex-selective abortions and the preference for sons.
