FMCSA grants 90-day ELD waiver for short-term rental trucks.

The article reports that The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration granting 90 days waiver for rental trucks for the Electronic Logging Device as requested by the Truck Renting and Leasing Association, some members are not aware of the same. This waiver allows trucks rented for 30 days or less to use paper logs for recording their hours of service giving more time to equip their trucks with electronic logging device which they will buy eventually and requirements for the waiver are listed.
