Abstract

One of the challenges contemporary organizations are facing with is dynamic work environment. Taking into account the time spent in the workplace, it is important that employees are satisfied with their lives at work, so work life quality must be high and that includes many factors. It is closely connected with job satisfaction, which forms better results and higher efficiency. The goal of the research is to investigate influencing factors of personnel work life quality and job satisfaction in State Holding Company. The research is concerned with the following questions: How personnel of State Holding Company evaluate their quality of working life and job satisfaction in general? What factors influence the personnel work life quality? Is there a link between the work life quality and job satisfaction? Is there a difference in the work life quality and job satisfaction assessment? The data of the research is gathered with survey created by the authors (based on Walton's [1] work life quality model) on the work life quality and job satisfaction assessment. The research results indicate that there is statistically significant correlation between work life quality and job satisfaction. Employees are not completely satisfied with the personnel management processes, as well as personnel planning and personnel turnover. Employees experience excessive workload and fatigue. Personnel of the State Holding Company is not sufficiently informed about availability of training and development opportunities in organization, which have accordingly influence on employees' work life quality. The more organizations employees get managers trust and take the opportunity to be independent, the higher is their work life quality indicators. Conclusions: In general, employees evaluated their work life quality as satisfactory. The job satisfaction is evaluated as average. Respondents indicated that job satisfaction improving results they achieve, reduces stress and encourages trust in the organization. All factors that affects work life quality are equally important, but the most the work life quality of employees are affected by such factors as satisfaction with the work performance, the role of management and emotional support, communication and internal climate of the organization and reward.
