Abstract

The organization American Political Science Association held its thirty-fifth annual meeting at the Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D. C., during December 28-30, 1939. American Orthopsychiatric Association Inc. will hold its seventeenth annual meeting at Boston, Massachusetts, during February 22-24, 1940. The organization National Conference on Family Relations (NCFR) held its second annual meeting in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, during December 26-27, 1939. Members are entitled to a year's subscription to the magazine "Living," beginning with its first issue in January 1940. The significant articles presented in Philadelphia will be published in later issues of "Living." The program was organized under the leadership of Adolf Meyer, the eminent psychiatrist, who is president of the NCFR. Conference committees discussed significant subjects of special interest, including the economic basis of the family, education for family living, eugenics and the family, family counseling, marriage and family law, marriage and family research, and youth and its problems.
