Abstract

The article offers information on potential benefits and risks associated with fever in the intensive care unit (ICU). It mentions that in the absence of infection, low-grade fever appears to be independently associated with reduced mortality risk compared with normothermia. It presents information on fever management in patients with traumatic brain injury, ischaemic stroke, and hemorrhage.
