- The article focuses on efforts for public education reform in the U.S. and impact of changing education politics in Butte, Montana during the World War I. Topics include Mon­tana Teachers' Association president W. K. Dwyer views on educators' attitude, educational reform and conservative nationalism in Butte and George Strayer and education politics and its impact on Butte's citizenship training curricula.
