Abstract

The article reports a study by University of Amsterdam researchers for the development of a new catalyst for the easy synthesis of sustainable indene. The team used the element cobalt due to its abundance, low cost, and easy to prepare metalloradical catalytic complex. It notes that the bio-inspired approach can help contribute to the development of sustainable catalytic route to indene synthesis.
