Abstract

The Raman spectra reveal molecular vibration information. Here we report a special temperature-dependent C<subscript>2</subscript> wagging vibration at 225 cm<superscript>−1</superscript> in Sc<subscript>2</subscript>C<subscript>2</subscript>@C<subscript>s</subscript>-C<subscript>82</subscript> by Raman spectroscopy and quantum-chemical calculations, which corresponds to the internal cluster motion in C<subscript>82</subscript>.
