Monocyte DPP4 Expression in Human Atherosclerosis Is Associated With Obesity and Dyslipidemia.

A study which investigated the relationship of monocyte DPP4 expression with human aortic atherosclerosis, obesity and lipid metabolism to determine whether obesity-related increase of DPP4 has a role in vascular disease, is presented. Topics covered include positive correlation between atherosclerotic burden and monocyte DPP4 expression, increased monocyte DPP4 expression in obese atherosclerotic patients and the role of DPP4 in linking obesity and dyslipidemia with atherosclerosis.
