Abstract

In this paper, the homotopy analysis method (HAM) is employed to solve a class of variational problems (VPs). By using the so-called ħ-curves, we determine the convergence parameter ħ, which plays key role to control convergence of solution series. Also we use Pade' approximant to improve accuracy of the method. Two test example are given to clarify the applicability and efficiency of the proposed method. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
