Abstract

The article explores Latin American decolonial studies. Particular focus is given to a view of these studies through a feminist lens. Additional topics discussed include 1492, when the Spanish and Portuguese began to colonize the Americas, how women's as well as men's Indigenous knowledge from the Americas contributed to the advance of "European" science, and how scientific exploration and gender issues relate to colonial events.
