Abstract

Previous research has indicated that boys, in various ways, tend to be more critical or less satisfied with their home conditions and their relations with their parents than girls. There is also evidence to support the hypothesis that children feel closer to their mothers or tend to rate their relationships with their mothers in a more favorable manner than similar their fathers. In the present report, the children's responses to various questions are organized to provide data in regard to question, to what degree do children report that they are involved in family activities? The article also traces out the difference, if any, exists between boys' and girls'.
