Abstract

Magnesium ferrite was doped with Nd to get MgFeNd O ( x = 0 to 0.04). The samples were synthesized by a without water and surfactant (WOWS) sol-gel technique, and pellets were sintered at different temperatures. An inverse spinel structure was confirmed by the X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern. Lattice constants increased with the increase in Nd doping. Microstructure analysis by SEM shows that particles are spherical in shape. AC electrical properties were studied at room temperature in the frequency range of 20 Hz-3 MHz. A minimum dielectric loss tangent value was achieved with x = 0.02 concentration of Nd, and it is suitable for high-frequency applications. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
