Abstract

The article discusses performative politics that challenges philosopher Peter Sloterdijk’s pseudonism. It questions Sloterdijk’s understanding of democracy and situating it in relation to some of Sloterdijk’s recent and controversial political activities. It is opined that Sloterdijk’s claim of authenticity is his unacknowledged pseudonym through which he attempts to revive, re-empower and render authentic the noble lie for the post-truth age.
