Abstract
- The article presents books related to public finance, taxation and tariff. The book "The Tariff: An Interpretation of a Bewildering Problem," by George Crompton presents a study of the tariff question in the revival of protectionism in recent times. Crompton amplifies in his historical discussion of the dissemination of the industrial arts, the course of industrial development, industrial secrecy and the difficulties to be met in establishing manufactures. The other books presented in the article are "European Tariff Policies Since the World War," by O.D. Donne, "Progress Report of the Forest Taxation Inquiry," by F.R.
