Abstract

Effect of structure and phase composition of cermet coatings of Al<subscript>2</subscript>O<subscript>3</subscript>-Ti (Al) system produced using a unit for multichamber detonation spraying was investigated. Analysis of structure peculiarities of investigated coatings was performed applying optical metallography, analytical scanning as well as transmission microdiffraction electron microscopy. It is shown that dispersion of grain and subgrain structures as well as distribution of forming hardening phases of dispersion size make the most significant contribution in the indices of strength, ductility and crack resistance of the investigated coatings.
