Abstract

The paper presents a method for calculating the amount of thermal energy which is required for heating buildings, by enlarged indicators: area, storeys, material of walls, the number of people in the building and the specifics of its operation. On the basis of analysis of results of energy audit conducted in 2012-2016 for municipal institutions in the Belgorod region, a statistical analysis was carried out and dependencies were obtained to determine the geometric characteristics of buildings needed for thermal engineering calculations from aggregated indicators. Simplified methods for calculating energy input with solar radiation, heat losses with ventilation air are proposed. As a result, a technique has been obtained that allows estimating energy costs for heating and energy efficiency of buildings without conducting a detailed instrumental energy survey, using only reporting and statistical information on its functioning. Based on the methodology, it is possible to calculate the effects of energy-saving measures and evaluate their effectiveness. The results of the research are intended for the planning and energy management in large distributed systems of institutions, with the view of minimizing the cost of implementation and maximum effect.
