Abstract

Children are one group of people hardly covered by the media. Thus, in many places children’s issues are never reported. This study concludes that the media do not give a significant attention to children’s issues hence a very low reportage. Considering the agenda-setting potential of the media, this situation means children’s issues are never prioritised in public discourse and, consequently, not on the national agenda of policy-makers.
