Abstract

In injection moulding process ,it is important to keep the productivity increase constantly with least of waste produced such as warpage defect. Thus, this study is concerning on minimizing warpage defect on wheel caster part. Apart from eliminating product wastes, this project also giving out best optimization techniques using response surface methodology. This research studied on five parameters A-packing pressure, B-packing time, C-mold temperature, Dmelting temperature and E-cooling time. The optimization showed that packing pressure is the most significant parameter. Warpage have been improved 42.64% from 0.6524 mm to 0.3742mm. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
