Abstract
- The article discusses the impact of an increase in the sales of printed books, and in the number of independent bricks-and-mortar bookstores on the bargain wholesalers' business in the U.S. It mentions views of several people in the book industry on rebound in print sales including Brad Jonas, owner of Powell's Books Wholesale, on his business, Bill Van Vliet, of Book Depot, on expected gain in sales in 2017, and Rachel Greer, of Great Jones Books, who anticipates a rise in sales in 2017.
