Abstract

The article explores the reasons why many brands engage in pop-up shops. Topics include the value of the pop-up shop industry in 2016 according to figures from the retail marketing database PopUp Republic, the launch of pop-up shops by community-focused food website Food52, the focus of the shops on the theme of refreshing rooms for the spring, and the decision of farm cooperative Organic Valley to open a pop-up shop to promote its half-and-half product.
