The article presents the author's views on the history of physical chemistry education at the University of Warsaw after 1939 with reference to the book "Monumenta Universitatis Varsoviensis 1816-2016." Various topics discussed include activities of the university's Department of Physical Chemistry, its transformation in 1969, its important faculties and post-war period in science. Author further discusses diversity in science researches, changed leadership, and 200th anniversary of the university.
