Abstract
- The high-resolution photoelectron spectra of Zr<superscript>-</superscript> were obtained via the slow-electron velocity-map imaging method. The electron affinity of Zr was measured to be 3494.67(72)cm<superscript>-1</superscript> or 0.433 283(89) eV. The accuracy has been improved by a factor of 160 compared with the previous result. The fine structures of Zr<superscript>-</superscript> were also well resolved: 251.0(37) (<superscript>4</superscript>F<subscript>5/2</subscript>), 579.6(8) (<superscript>4</superscript>F<subscript>7/2</subscript>), and 971.7(12) cm<superscript>-1</superscript> (4F<subscript>9/2</subscript>) above the ground state <superscript>4</superscript>F<subscript>3/2</subscript>.
