Abstract
- The article provides information on the rise in the use of the drug methamphetamine in the remote and regional areas of Australia and highlights the risks it is causing to young people. Particular focus is given to the survey conducted for New South Wales emergency department (ED) data including the annual rate of hospitalization due to the drug use, hospitalizations of Indigenous people, and rise in the drug use in remote areas.
