Abstract

We introduce a projection-type holographic 3D display in which a digitally designed holographic optical element (DDHOE) fabricated by the wavefront printing technique and digital holographic projection technique were combined. Since this system can achieve a higher degree of freedom of display size and visual angle via see-through DDHOE screen, it will accelerate the adoption of holographic three-dimensional displays in industrial applications, such as digital signage, in-car head-up displays, smart-glasses and head-mounted displays.
