Abstract: The article presents profiles of the various individuals who are included on the Icons section of the journal's 100 Most Influential People in the World list for 2017. African American actress Viola Davis is addressed, along with Mauritanian abolitionist Biram Dah Abeid and Filipino Senator Leila de Lima. Pus-size fashion model Ashley Graham and Former Gambian Justice Minister Fatou Bensouda are assessed, as well as U.S. legislator and civil rights leader John Lewis.
