Abstract: The article focuses on the future of nursing and home health care in the U.S. Topics discussed include enactment of Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 and Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010 for same; background of home health; and switching over from traditional home health and nursing home care to a combination of telehealth and Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) to lower costs for improving quality of care.
