Abstract
- An editorial is presented which addresses the authors' claims about the infrequency of the use of infection prevention (isolation) practices in nursing homes, and it mentions problems involving multi-drug resistant organisms (MDROs). Guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention regarding isolation practices in nursing homes is examined, along with nursing home patients with methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus or vancomycin-resistant enterococcus infections.
