Abstract

The article focuses on a study for reporting the rates of hypocalcaemia in a Great Britain's district general hospital and assessing the clinical utility of the predictive nomogram. It mentions performance of the miltivariate analysis using binary logistic regression for assessing the effect of pre, intra- and postthyroidectomy factors. It also mentions presence of malignancy associated with risk of hypocalcaemia and decrease in length of stay after thyroidectomy is decreased.
